Overview

Maurine is a US attorney who founded Knutsson IP after moving from her home city of Chicago to start a new life in Sweden with her family. Maurine loves learning and problem solving. Working as a lawyer, she enjoys the never-ending pursuit of knowledge and tools to help her clients reach their goals. She takes time to get to know you and your legal needs, so her advice is relevant and useful.

Prior to moving to Sweden, Maurine worked at prominent US law firms where she helped clients with their worldwide intellectual property law and commercial contract needs. She has had the pleasure of working with companies of all sizes from startups to Fortune 500 companies.

Before joining the legal community, Maurine received her Bachelor of Science degree in engineering mechanics and worked as an engineer. Her unyielding quest for knowledge then led her to law school where she built on her engineering skills and graduated with her Juris Doctorate degree and subsequently began working as an intellectual property attorney in the US. After moving to Sweden, Maurine decided to expand her knowledge of European law by studying for her masters in European intellectual property law.

As an active member in US and international legal organizations, Maurine is excited to continue her involvement in these and join new organizations and branches in Sweden and Europe. Her involvement allows her to keep up to date on legal developments and mentor new lawyers.

When not lawyering, Maurine enjoys exploring the world with her four kids, husband, and dog.
